Iowa Homeland Security and Emergency Management
The Iowa Homeland Security and Emergency Management Division (HSEMD) plans for and responds to both natural and human-caused disasters. The Division helps to coordinate activities before, during and after emergencies through partnerships with local, state, federal and private agencies. The Division’s main objectives are to preserve life and reduce the impact of disasters.
HSEMD Launches New Web site
As you can see, the Iowa Homeland Security and Emergency Management Division Web site has a new look and feel. The site is designed to be a source for up-to-date information on the state's homeland security and emergency management efforts and initiatives. Information is also available to help you, your family, and your community be better prepared for any emergency or disaster, whether natural or human-made.
